The parts of a help article
A reader arrives with a job to do. The article should help them finish it.
A title that names the task
Start with a verb and use your customers' words, such as Reset your password. Check the last few tickets for the phrases people use.
Steps in order
Number the steps and keep each one short. Add a screenshot where the screen is easy to misread.
The common exception
End with the error that comes up most often and what the reader should do about it.
How to draft it from a ticket
The best outline is a reply you already sent.
1. Open a ticket you answered well
Pick a reply that covers a question customers ask often.
2. Turn the reply into steps
Delete your greeting and the customer's history, and number the steps in order.
3. File it under the category customers would guess
Use the name they would say, such as Getting started or Billing.
4. Publish and send the link
Publish the article and send its link on the next ticket. Rewrite any step that still needs explaining.
Writing the article in PageBow
Each help article is a page in your help center with its own category, tags, and URL.
Document editor
Write the steps the way you would in a word processor, and add an image where a screenshot helps.
A draft from a description
Describe the task to the AI prompt bar and get a structured article. Check every step against your product and delete anything that does not match.
Category and tags
File the article in a category and add tags, so related articles appear beneath it and readers can keep going.

That makes a good FAQ entry. See FAQ software.

In a help center collection, where it sits in a category with search. See help center software.

Yes. Describe the task to the AI prompt bar, then edit the page and delete any step the product does not have.
